Cyclists Almost Stuffed

Venday Montalivet - Pyla sur Mer

Breakfast was the same old routine of croissants etc. We then set off for a 70 mile ride to Pyla Sur Mers. Luckily the rain had stopped and with a tail wind we soon reached our lunch break, we even had to wait for Andy to turn up with the scran van.... you can't get the staff nowadays!

However half a mile before lunch Toms crank seized due to excess power(so Tom says), so it was our "in house" mechanic Bill to the rescue. Warren won the sprint to lunch with a sneaky breakaway about 5 miles out.

Mike tried out his Evel Knievel skills in the afternoon when he nearly cycled into a parked car.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a menagerie of stuffed animals that would put Noahs Ark to shame ( along with a live Minor bird that sang the French national anthem ). Naturally we thought that this would be a great place to eat!!!!!!

Quote of the day ( Haze ) :" 70 miles in 4 hours.....god we're good!!!"
