St Brevin L'Ocean - Sables D'Olonne After yesterday's hard slog today, even though it was 66 miles, was fairly easy, pleasant even. We had a 15 mph tail wind which helped to make the miles fly past. Warren ended up spending the night on the bathroom floor because he felt seasick on the top of the bunk bed because it was rocking so much. We're not quite sure what Mike, who was occupying the lower bunk, was doing! Today's drama was supplied by Bill who broke a spoke while he, Gary and Tom were under full steam. Dinner was at the local supermarket, on the outskirts of a large town, so it took a few phone calls to Andy before we all rendezvous-ed at the desired location. After lunch the sun came out which unfortunately meant many of Tom's clothes came off. To avoid cycling behind him this meant that Mike took the lead for the next 10 miles! |
