Carhaix-Plouguer-Pluvigner

After being well fed and watered at a really nice hotel we were raring to get going with the second day of cycling. So much so that Paul, the "Man of Mystery" set off before the rest of us, at the break of day, to do his own thing. It was a very cold start with mist everywhere however before we realised it lunch time was upon us and we'd a good thirty miles of cycling under our belts. Being a Sunday, we didn't realise that all the restaurants would be shut at dinner time so we hit the local shop and bought them out of baguettes. Much to his disgust and continual ranting, Tom unfortunately missed out on getting his own baguette - a fact that made them taste all the better for the rest of us!

Drama of the day was supplied by Hazel when not only did her bum-bag fall off, nearly taking out Tom, Mike and Warren, but she also had a puncture, with only two miles to go, at the bottom of a large hill. Luckily however there was an orchard nearby so we were able to build up our energy levels for the ascent by eating apples whilst Hazel changed her wheel.

Andy is doing a sterling job as support driver by supplying us with water and sorting out the accommodation. So, so far so good.
